lesson 1-2: restructure exercises around half and whole steps

jedmund requested to merge jedmund/lesson-1-2 into main

Summary

Two commits polishing every exercise in lesson 1-2 ("Half Steps and Whole Steps") and fixing a content-placement mismatch.

  • f505a33 ex1: combined half/whole finder placed after both concepts. Renames 'The Smallest Move' to 'Step Up' and grows the drill from 6 half-step prompts to 12 prompts mixing half and whole steps, with bolded note names. The old placement (right after 'Three Kinds of Half Step') had the finder sitting mid-concept, before whole steps were introduced; moves the exercise_ref to after the whole-step content and inline quiz. Adds a 'Spot the Step' text bridge before the drill and rewrites 'Hearing the Difference' as the ex1 to ex2 visual-to-ear transition. Updates CurriculumRegistry and the lessons manifest to the new title.
  • 538419a ex2..ex4 polish. ex2 'One Step or Two?' grows from 8 to 10 prompts so the scoring review uses the two-column layout. ex3 'Seven from Twelve' drops the redundant "follow the pattern" bit from its instructions. ex4 'Any Root, Same Shape' expands roots from 3 (G, D, F) to 6 (G, D, F, Bb, A, Eb) so the "any root" concept actually gets the variety it claims.

Test plan

  • Open lesson 1-2 on the sim and scroll the full flow. Concept pages up through 'Whole Steps' and the inline quiz render unchanged.
  • 'Step Up' opens after the inline quiz, shows mixed half/whole prompts with bolded note names, and completes with a two-column scoring review (6+6).
  • 'One Step or Two?' plays 10 interval pairs and lands in the two-column review.
  • 'Seven from Twelve' plays the C major scale ascending with the W-W-H pattern hint.
  • 'Any Root, Same Shape' cycles through all 6 roots (G, D, F, Bb, A, Eb).
  • Regression: lesson 1-1 (Locating the Twelve, Same Key Two Names) still passes end to end.
